At 3,000 ft. elevation , low temps drop to 50F in winter, highs 82F in summer. Hawaiian Ocean View Estates
is the largest
subdivision
in the world H.O.V.E. is 11,500 Acres (about 25% built on,) and it is surrounded by Volacano National park and Manuka Natural Area Reserves. We have both grid and solar power, and wireless high speed internet, and Dish TV. Water is caught off the roof, drinking water is filtered rain water. Mail at the P.O. 2 miles away, and a volunteer fire Dept. Linda and Norm have vacationed here (and built this 850 sq. ft. house) a few weeks per year since 1989. We retired here Sept. 1, 2005. |
